In recent years, the appetite for refurbished electronics goods has become more and more popular in the consumer electronics industry.
You just need to look at the amount of money the refurbished smartphone industry is estimated to be worth, with IDC putting the figure at £47 billion by 2023.
And it’s not just smartphones, there’s also a growing demand for refurbished PCs, laptops and other electronics products.
And one company that is playing right at the heart of this industry is Xcess Trading, a firm headed up by Debra Barr, a former star of The Apprentice.

Platinum sat down with The Apprentice star, Debra Barr to find out what she did following the programme with her company Xcess Trading, and how they have fared over the tumultuous last year.
"After finishing university in 2006 I started working in digital media. It was during this time that I applied for the BBC business programme The Apprentice. Out of 31,000 applicants for series 5, I secured my place in Lord Sugars final 15 candidates fighting for the £100,000 a year job.
"The process of The Apprentice was one of the toughest experiences of my life, but also the most enlightening. I was just 24 years old when I took part and it was like speed dating in the deep end for all different types of businesses and the operational challenges that go along with that..."
